The school ASHTAR (Asian Society of Humanity, Togetherness and Rehabilitation) was established and maintained by ASHTAR group which was formed informally in 1997 and became formal in 1999. Two patron sisters donated half acre of land. The modest Office-cum-School-Cum-Vocational training Center Cum Adult Education Center  got itself functional from 7th Jan, 2001.

Mission:

1)     To provide tutorial facilities  for female dropouts so as to make them pass High school

2)     To create awareness in the society to stop female foeticide.

3)     Every household must have a provision for safe drinking water and in-house toilet facilities.

​

Objective:

To enable education for backward and financially weak to earn.

​

ASHTAR focuses on providing education to lower section minorities ate very low cost. Besides providing education to deprived sections it also organizes many training sessions trains the lower class sections on self-employment and also working in the field of Community development, Vocational training.

​

ASHTAR also focusses on overall development of children. It organizes many events such as cultural events on the eve of National days, arranges health camps for children to ensure proper health of children.  It also had an Awareness Development Centre which handles seminars/marketing of handicraft works of students.

​

ASHTAR was recognised by Government of Odisha and teaches according to state syllabus.
